I believe one of the necessities of life is to get away from the every-day grind and find something that makes you unquestionably and blissfully happy. This is not an easy task; being a working Senior at Ohio University studying Journalism, I find myself constantly bogged down by my work, school work and relationships. Sometimes, it’s seems difficult to pull yourself away.
But, for your sanity and that of those around you, sometimes you might need to step away from your life, take a moment just for yourself and find what will give you that time of bliss. Whether that moment lasts for 5 minutes or for hours, it’s worth looking for.
I am writing this blog for those students at Ohio University who find themselves stuck in a town that sometimes seems to be full of only two things: school and nightlife. While I personally take full advantage of the nighttime schemes that Athens has to offer and might add to that “Party School” stigma that OU cannot leave behind, I also find it equally important to find those things that make you as happy as you were when you were a child; when playtime meant leaving all other cares at the door. If you are not a student at OU, I hope these posts will serve you as well; perhaps my posts will inspire you to find similar outlets for natural highs and free-spiritedness in your area.
These suggestions may be a free activity or of some (minute) expense; perhaps it is something common sense or something you never would have thought about before. Either way, they are my bliss-fix, and I hope they might provide something for yours.
